Here is my collection of Joey Votto autographs + 1/1 Jumbo Patch.

When real estate slowed down a great deal back in 2008/2009 and my income changed a great deal one of the things I really enjoyed doing (and could afford) was watch Joey Votto play baseball. He and Brandon Phillips kept me occupied at a time that was frustrating for me. I figured I would show some of the ones I have and plan to update when I buy different ones over the years.

Here is a few of his autographs I have bought and kept for my personal collection over the past few years.

This one is #'d out of 25

I would sell this one because it has Hamilton on it as well to try and save for the 2002 Bowman Chrome Gold Rookie / 50 of Votto.

Newest addition with some funds I had made buying some star packs and flipping them. This is a true factory stamped 1/1.

    I'm feeling the good vibrations!
  • Great collection of Votto, the guy is rediculous!! One of the hottest in the league. Will be interesting to see if he can break the all time doubles record of 67 by Earl Webb in 1931. Votto has 26 currently.

Couple sick things. He's batting .576 in June so far.

Has only pulled a ball foul into the stands once in his entire career. and the 1 lonely time was in his rookie year.

He has not popped out to the infield all season, and ONLY 3 times the last 4 seasons over 2,138 plate appearances.

Anyway the guy is just plain old sick!!

Good for you for putting together a nice little hoard. Bet you've at least doubled what you paid for them.

That's a pretty great stash of auto cards!

A few years ago I took my son for a pair of IP signings Votto took part in. One was a team signing the other was at the Moeller show, he was a super nice guy and even took the time to let my son behind the table and sit next to him.

    Nathan,

A very nice lot of Votto's. I need to pick up some Votto auto rookies. I don't have any surprising enough. I love the Hamilton/Votto card.

I did pick up a nice stash of Cozart and Devin M. auto rookies during spring training.

Did you watch the game tonight? Another multi-hit game for Votto and Phillips hit a bomb. They have been fun to watch the past two nights.

Here is one I picked up from an autograph hound in Houston. He got Joey to inscribe it.

Yeah, I watched most of the game. Votto is a hitting machine and his cards should continue to climb in value.

I like the auto you got from Houston.

Hey Nathan, you picked a good one to chase auto cards of!!! Congrats on the collection so far and looking forward to seeing some more in the future. image

And yes, he has some sick statistics with the foul ball and pop ups. I bet he probably didn't even realize it until someone pointed it out to him.

What's up with the jersey on this card? It almost looks like a flannel from the 50s or 60s?

    image

Is it just the case that the Votto is in making it look like that?

    That is a good question.

The jumbo patch came from a throwback jersey worn by Votto during a game.

I believe every year a team will wear a jersey from the past in a game.

That is one of the reasons I liked the patch so much.

    That's AWESOME.

That was my initial guess, but I wasn't sure.
