Need some Paypal/eBay help please....

My auction just gets over and come to find out the high bidder lives in China when it is stated in the auction that I will only ship to the US 50 states..... Anyone ever ship to China, is it a major pain in the ass? The item is only $250 but if I'm going to take Paypal I need advice so I don't get burned.... Anyone? I am think no but told the guy I would get back to him.....

  • He did not reed into the auction listing enough so he can't be pissed at you if you do not want to ship it to him. I would not ship it to China and make an offer to the next highest bidder. That auction could very easilly end up being a nightmare for you if you ship it out to China. Good luck!
  • That's what I am thinking as well, plus if this guy disputes the charge or claims he never got it then I am screwed...

You must ship the right way or you lose your protection. Global Priority is one of the acceptable ways. Will probably cost $20.00-$30.00 to ship one card.

If you or the buyer is willing to pay this much (or you can agree on sharing the cost) go for it!

I refuse to ship anywhere but the U.S. because of the headache. If you ship it a cheaper way and seller says he/she didn't get item you will lose your money.

I wouldn't send anything to china. Sounds like a headache the size of a Nigerian money order.

Insured Express Mail International. This will provide proof of delivery. If it never arrives, file the insurance claim.

Mesa, sometimes stating that you only ship within the U.S. in your description is not enough. Many simply do not read.
Why not just rule out the entire problem under the 'create a listing' by clicking "no int'l shipping" just under U.S. shipping?
Anyone outside of the U.S. will not be able to bid then. That is what I do when I sell video games.

As for sportscards, I only sell within north america as I only do hockey. I stopped years ago after I got burned from
someone from Germany cos my package was never scanned. I think most sellers stop shipping int'l once they've taken a hit.

If you stated in your auction that you only ship in the USA, I'd cancel the transaction. Contact Ebay for the best way to proceed.
