Confused with the grade on a 1940 play ball

I got my cards back and received a PSA 2 Good on a Mathewson and Speaker 1940 Play Ball. It is crease free, so i'm confused why it got a 2. There is a little discoloration, maybe thats the cause? Any input would be appreciated.

Looks like tape mark on top front, but not on the back.

Could also be glue remnants

Both cards look like they were removed from a scrapbook so there might be some paste residue. Another common issue with 1940's is small slits, tears, or breaks in the cardboard along the left and right edges.

Also looks like foxing is present on both those cards.

Thanks for the input. In the scan I can see where you see a tape mark, but in person it's not there. It's just discolored. I'm sure there is something I missed, I just wasn't sure. I was hoping for a PSA 4 on these. Oh well, lesson learned.

when you remove the tape it will then be discolored and the different color paper looks like where tape once was.
