1987 Donruss Chicago Cubs Team Set

The 1987 Donruss Cubs Team Set has 3 RC's of players who put up high lifetime statistics; Greg Maddux and Jamie Moyer's win total (624 and counting) and Rafael Palmeiro (500HR/3000Hits).

Is there another team set out there (only counting the stats of RC's within that set) that boast similar or better lifetime stats? Another that comes to mind are the 1978 Topps Tigers, even though all the players are on multi-player RC's (Trammell, Whitaker, Morris, Lance Parrish).

Any other contenders or honorable mentions?

    somewhat off topic

Jamie Moyer's win total (624 and counting)

    269 wins so far.

I think cy's will run the test of time with his 511 wins. Still an awesome player none the less.

I am working on the Nolan Ryan master set. Need 1004 more cards to complete. I might actually spend more on plastic than I did on cardboard.

The 624 is Maddux + Moyer, unless you're being sarcastic image

1990 Bowman White Sox. Sammy Sosa and Frank Thomas combined for 1130 HRs over their careers.

Yes, the 624 was for both Maddux/Moyer (355/269 respectively).

Good call on the 1969 Topps A's set.

Thomas/Sosa also appears in 1990 Leaf.

Another contendor if you count both regular and update team sets are the 1989 Mariners with Griffey, Vizquel, and Randy Johnson.

The 1893 Just So Tobacco set has one of the most impressive team lineups, mainly of RCs.
I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.

    1985 Donruss

Mark Langston, Alvin Davis, Phil Bradley, Jim Presley

Well, maybe not but I remember in 1987 they all had so much potential. Any time I saw that Mariner's logo when I opened a pack it was pretty exciting

Hard to beleive the 1968 Mets aren't the answer. With 546 wins on one card alone, you'd think SOMEONE would kick in a little more to help to overall stats.

Bring hockey into it: I'm too lazy to check the stats but what about 1979 Edmonton Oilers Post Card set with Gretzky, Messier, Lowe, etc. and the 1983 Canadian National Juniors with Lemieux, Yzerman, Andreychuk, Vernon, etc.
