I assume this gets asked a lot...

Do any of you who are Collectors Club members allow non-members like myself to submit cards for grading along with your own bulk orders or specials? Or is the best way to just do a non-member form at $15/card + shipping.

I am sure that many members would allow you to sub with them if they need cards to fill a minimum order. I have been allowed to piggyback with several members on this board to fill their submissions, and quite honestly, they have all gone exceptionally smooth. I would just create a thread in the Sportscard and Memoribilia forum if you are interested in piggybacking with someone. good luck.

I have a friend who's membership expired and we submit together all the time.

I don't know if I would trust a complete stranger with my cards though.

Memberships pay for themselves, why not just become a member?

Agreed. At the Platinum level, you're getting your first 15 submissions at an effective rate of $12.60. Plus you get a nice hardcover book and subscription to SMR.

Unless you're only looking for a one time deal for a very small lot of cards, why not join?

Well, you convinced me! I signed up for the Platinum Service.

How long does it take to get the packet?

I like to piggyback on other's subs because the specials usually run between $4.50-$6.00 for all cards '56 and newer. If I had 12 cards that I knew were extremely expensive then I would buy the membership, but paying $12.60 per card to get some newer cards graded that might not be worth the grading fees I can't see doing. In addition, sending in a bulk amount of cards does save in the end in shipping since PSA's shipping is expensive.
This is just my opinion, but the more money I can save, the more money I can spend on buying cards.

No, not at all. The address is a PO box and PSA sends someone to sign for packages on every business day.

It still says this and it is now after the business day on June 26.

    Great.

They probably just didn't scan it as delivered when it was picked up.

If you call PSA with the DC# they will confirm if they have it in the vault.

Didn't get a chance to call, but I sent an e-mail last night after hours and it was unanswered.

    Same status.

$200 down the drain + the cards.

No, your cards and money haven't disappeared

If you're gonna start subbing cards to PSA, you're gonna have to develop a little more patience

Not bad for a first sub in six years, though I know nothing about modern.

    Quick turnaround!
