Kevin Garnett - HOF - Celtic or T'wolf?

When KG goes into the hall does he go as a Celtic or as a T'wolf? Does that change if they win the championship this year? I don't even know if the hoops hof has people go in "as" a member of a certain team so if not just play along. Is KG now more a Celtic and a T'wolf?

Players don't go in with a specific team the way MLB does. I think he will be remembered more as a Celtic to most people. He carried the burden of not playing well and never getting far in the playoffs with the T-Wolves, but then won a ring with Boston.

What do you mean by not playing well? Just curious.

I you look back to when he was with Minnesota, several years they got to the playoffs, but couldn't advance past the first round. Because KG was looked at as one of the stars of the team, he was criticized for not playing well enough to get them past teams like the Lakers, Sonics, Spurs,Trailblazers, etc. Although I really don't think it was all his fault, a lot of people still remember it.

Selfish player here at Minnesota. Didn't seem to care about anything but his numbers and playing with guys he liked (mostly other selfish players). Hope he goes in as a Celtic.

Garnett is a HOF'er, but not a "clutch" player, IMHO...
    Enjoy your collection!

You're absolutely nuts. That was true until he got to Boston. Not even close to true any longer.
  • Boy, I don't know ya'll.......When he was in Minnesota, I watched him play quite often.
While I agree he probably would/should go in as a Celtic, I think his Minnesota days were
    some of his hardest work.

He was surrounded by untalented second rate NBA players practically throughout
his entire stay in Minnesota. I never blamed him for wanting to go somewhere
else, because he would NEVER have won an NBA title with the T'Wolves.

Really, he was the ONLY person essentially that carried the team to respectability
(If you can call it that) throughout his years here.

    Just my humble opinion.

With Minnesota he was clearly one of the top players in the NBA. With Boston he was a good player and at times appeared to be a roll player, especially at the end. Way better player with Minnesota. Not even close. I'm thinking Ewing was better on the Sonics than the Knicks.image
