Up over $20 at closing, gold drops like a rock after the closing bell. This is the typical after hours takedown that they plan for the thinly traded aftermarket.

Same old crap.

    I warned that prices were up against resistance earlier today in the trading thread.

    GLD opened at about the highs of the day, then sold off. There was no real buying today, only selling, maybe due to the higher gap open.

    Might have been some of Bernanke's friends at Goldman-Sachs just getting the word in advance as usual.
