PROOF - NOT VALID FOR ADMISSION TICKET?

Can someone explain this designation on an Authentic 1974 Hank Aaron's 715th Home Run full game ticket? Thanks.

what are you referring to? I need a link or picture.

  • It doesn't have a seat number. It was used as a design ticket and never intended for admission to the game.

It's different than this one, right?

  • it is not the commeroative ticket you post. it was authenticated by psa with the noted designation. What is the value and scarcity? Lelands auction wants it. Thanks and God bless your family...

What you have is a printers proof ticket. I believe they were made by the people printing the tickets to check color, how the ticket looks, and any flaws in the printing. It's no different than the proofs Topps uses. The ticket was NOT made for admission, only for the printers use.

As for how scarce they are, I believe there are not many of them out there. I'm sure there are WAY more regular tickets and stubs out there compared to proof tickets. Value? Hard to say, they are so rare. But keep in mind that rare does not equal value.

Here is a pic of my 1958 World Series ticket proof. I have one from the Braves and another from the Yankees.
