Can you id the auto? - for '86 Cubs/Brewers/Giants fans

Last box of memorabilia reviewed and taped up and figured this might be a fun one. Programs from Cactus League '86. Can you name 'em?
Brewers - Blue Sharpie ages well:

Giants - lots of coaches. Curious who is the illiterate scratch between Aldrete and Will Clark

Cubs - off the bat, the guy to the left of the date/Dear Mayor Brooks is the strength coach. I think more than a few minor leaguers

And do you think PSA will slab this?

That Jim Gantner always had a beautiful sig. Brings back memories of when I used to send cards TTM for sigs in the '80's.
For the Giants, I recognize Mike Aldrete and Luis Quinones.
Ruben Amaro Sr.
Billy Williams
Phil Claussen (trainer I believe)
Dallas Green
Billy Conners
Doug Descenzo (spelling?)
Rick Wrona
Don Zimmer
Jerry Mumphrey (I think)
Thats all I have right now. I will have to come back when I have a bit more time and look at it again
Juan Castillo
Jim Gantner
Ernest Riles
Bob McClure
Bob Uecker
Mike Felder
Garrett Nago (never made the big league squad, but played for their minor league affiliates from 1981 - 1987)

Outstanding. Never would have gotten this and Nago gets my vote for favorite career minor leaguer simply for giving himself a quoted nickname with his autograph.

Thanks - especially Bob McClure and Rick Wrona - who I would never have gotten. One I am sure of on the Giants is Gordy McKenzie who is between Bob Melvin and Frank Williams. I only remember because he was extremely cool.
Pretty sure it was not Jerry Mumphrey. I will send a prize to anyone who can figure out who signed in blue ink on Dallas Green's letter text.
Only an idiot would have a message board signature.
<< <i>Is the chicken scratch between Aldrete and Clark possibly Roger Craig? >>
Roger Craig is in the upper left corner under Dan Driessen and above Bob Lillis.

The big auto above Dallas Green's head is Manager Jim Frey. I cant believe I missed this one the 1st time as it certainly is NOT Jerry Mumphrey. It would make sense that he signed it so big as he was the manager.
Other than that, I have no idea who the last three autos are. You have all of the coaches except Johnny Oates and none of the remaining sigs are Oates. You do have one trainer in Phil Claussen and I seem to remember another trainer with the last name of Davis which resembles the name "Davis" directly under the Dallas Green picture but I will have to pull my old media guide to confirm the name. It would make sense that these autos would be all coaches, the trainers and a token player as it appears these autographs and the paper they are on are from a welcoming-type gathering before spring training started. Many of the veteran players would have blown something like this off or would not have been in camp yet at that point.
Good luck on the rest of the sigs.

I think the big one across the middle is Jim Frey. I have doubts the one is Doug Descenzo but not its going to drive me nuts not knowking who it is.

<< <i>Quick look at the Brewers I see Uecker, Jim Gantner and Ernie Riles. >>
I am by far not a Brewers fan but I give Jim Ganter the all time penmanship award for autographs. Always perfect.

Doh!
Jeff Robinson, perhaps?
Kinda looks like "Jeff" partially in Aldrete's name....

It is Frey as I mentioned in my last post and there is no doubt that the autograph I identified as Doug Dascenzo is him.
<< <i>Jeff Robinson, perhaps? >>
That's it. The pic you provided is an unuusal version of his auto, maybe very recent? Here's another one:

Actually got the autographs after a Cubs A's game at HoHoKam park. I had cards of all the players for their signatures - lots of the 84/85 action all stars - and used the programs to get sigs for the guys I didn't have - explaining the presence of coaches, rookies, and career minor leaguers and - in one case - a writer for the Chicago Tribune.
This is impressive fellas. Definitely impressed with Jeff Robinson. Never would have gotten that.
One final piece I figured is the one underneath the Dallas Green picture. It is Gary Woods. The other blue ink on the text - I have no idea.
Never realized the big ego on Jim Frey. I think I like him a bit more now.
The reason why I know these signatures is because 1986 is right in the middle of the time I worked for the Cubs in the stadium operations department and worked with each of these signers. As for Jim Frey, I asked him only once for an autograph and it was the last day of the season in 1985 and I was getting the team to sign their team issued cards for my own collection. We were not supposed to ask for autographs but everyone did it so I figured I would take a shot. He walked into the tunnel behind the dugout and I asked him to sign. As I waited his response, he spit some tobacco and as I watched the residue drip down the front of his satin starter jacket he got in my face, said I shouldn't be asking for autographs and walked away. I was kind of pissed because through the season I would run an errand or two for him and all I asked for was an autograph. Five minutes later he walked by me again and said "where's the card" and signed it for me without another word being said and walked away. He was actually a decent guy and I would love to sit in the dugout and listen to the stories he and Zimmer would tell to the media and anyone else that would listen. Those were some great times.
Thanks for letting me reminisce.
