Hey all-- First Post

Hey all. I have been reading the boards for a little while and wanted to introduce myself and make my first post. My name is Jeff, and I live in the Indianapolis area. I am a huge sports fan (Cincinnati Reds, Indianapolis Colts, and IU Hoosier basketball), but I really only collect baseball cards. My special interest is post war graded stars. I have been collecting since I was a kid (I'm now 39), but lost most of my collection and had to restart a few years ago. My dad shares my love of cards, and he and I have enjoyed the time spent together working with cards. We resurrected our old family business (Card Country) a couple years ago, and started doing some nearby shows (mostly Chicago, as I have 4 kids-3 of which are under 4- and travel is difficult). I know I have had the pleasure of meeting some of you at the shows, as sometimes I see pictures on the board here of some of the cards we have sold. Some of you I know I have dealt with on eBay as well. Anyway, I love seeing the pack rips, reading the witty comments (Itzagoner- hilarious!!) and love seeing scans of the cards you have. I can only imagine what it's like to own the Clemente roookie psa 10!! Anyway, thanks for all of your posts, and keep them coming. I have really enjoyed learning things that are outside my main areas of interest. I appreciate reading about the apparent friendships that have been formed through this common interest, as well as the acts of generosity that have been shown to one another (giveaways, pay it forward, Christmas exchange, donations, etc). It seems like a great group. I really hope to meet more of you in the future- please come by if we are ever at the same show!

You also should know by now it is not a good idea to encourage itzagoner anymore than necessary.
Would love to see you at the National as I don't make my way out to Chicago since my Purdue days. I'd also like to apologize in advance for any IU jokes I've said in the past and/or future (well, except for the Bobby Knight jokes as you guys don't seem to mind that much anymore).
Looking forward to your posts and possibly doing business with you in the future especially if you have unopened packs.

Collecting:
Any unopened Baseball cello and rack packs and boxes from the 1970's and early 1980s.
I wish I had some of the types of packs that you collect. I don't think 1988 Donruss cases are on too many wish lists!

BTW, who doesn't know Craig? Another great guy like Matt.
If I ever get back to West Layfayette for a Purdue-Notre Dame football game, I'll look you up if I go through Indy.

Welcome and thanx for the comprehensive intro!
I've been collecting for about 30 yrs but my son's interest was instrumental in giving me a life-long hobby.
Though I have a few cards, I'm more of an "other" collector - e.g. baseball board games.
Don't be a stranger - looking forward to your posts.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
Welcome to the boards! I've dealt with you in the past at the sun-times show...I've been working on the 1956 topps set and have purchased a few cards from you. I've really learned a lot from everyone here, and look forward to seeing you at future shows.

Always good to have new folks coming in. "4 kids - 3 of which are under 4" Is that even possible? Whew! Im exhausted just thinking about that LOL
Ive got 2 under 10 and thats enough to keep me running.
