Mailday - major acquisition for the Butler collection

I had a gentleman reach out to me through my website and ask me if I'd be interested in picking this up. Umm... yeah. image

I did a little research and asked for some opinions from gameuseduniverse.com, and then decided to see what it would take. I made an offer and it was accepted. The seller even offered to make sure I had it in hand before sending payment. That level of trust just isn't around much any more. Hugely appreciated on my part!

So what do you guys think? I'm pretty stinkin' excited to have it. I'll be getting the back signed on one of the numbers when the Reno Aces come to Fresno in August.

year tag, followed by set tag

in this case, 1983, Set #1

Newer Red Sox tag: Uniform #, Size, Year In this case a 2008 Big Papi

    Really nice.

He should've been wearing that jersey (and later, one different yet similar) for years and years.

I once read where Ted Turner said many years after the fact that he never should have allowed the Butler trade. It was one of his biggest regrets.

    Hiya Geordie

    Congratulations - it's a beauty!

Very nice example and thanx for sharing some of your other jerseys. If I were Butler? I would be very pleased to have you as a fan and collector.
