The only thing I notice is the Beckett Auto tag in the corner and the card is a facsimile auto.
Working on 1971 Topps baseball set.

This would only qualify as a 'reason' if you thought the probability of PSA committing a similar mistake was significantly smaller.

with a soft corner, tilt, and went for $4K ... no problem , right ?

I bought this just because I needed another Buddy Rogers for my raw sets and did not pay too much. I was obviously able to tell from the scan the card was maybe NM-MT.
Got to love the lower left corner with the Gem Mint grade.
