Johan No Hitter through 8.1 IP

Possible first ever no hitter for the Mets.
A lot of Mets have thrown no-nos and PGs after leaving Queens, the most recent being Phil Humber.
Lets go Johan

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
I've always liked Johan, and I'm not a Met Hater by any stretch.
Edit to add: Would have been great if Seaver were in booth tonight to call that game, too!

Always thought Doc Gooden threw one for them. Did not know they did not have one.

Doc tossed one for The Yanks.

I can't believe it. I've waited 35 years for this. It's surreal.

<< <i>As a typical Mets fan, I'm just hoping the 134-pitch effort doesn't have any lingering repercussions. >>
You and terry Collins!

Wow, that's a lot of pitches! Especially for someone who's had arm troubles. I too hope he weathers it fine. Congrats to him for the no-no.
<< <i>Crap. I sold his 2000 Bowman's Best and Finest PSA 10 rookie cards for <$35 a few weeks ago. I wonder what they'll go for now? >>
Hehe, not sure, but thanks for selling them to me, Rich.

<< <i>What a weekend. My oldest daughter had her High School Prom last night ... Johan pitches a NO HITTER tonight and my daughter graduates from High School tomorrow. 25 years from now when I can tell my daughter the date of her High School Prom she will never know how I remembered! (She's not a baseball fan.) HAHA >>
Priceless moments in time!

<< <i>What's the story on that 2008 Topps #661? Why did they make it? >>
My guess is that it's a gimmick to get people to talk about Topps cards, which might lead to more sales.
