Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

I turned off the Celtics to watch it and it was great.

After watching his interview after it was obvious he is a classy guy too.

    Congrats Santana and Mets fans.

Surreal! I feel good it was Johan, too. Having a no-hitter pitched by Bob Myrick or Pat Zachry has some momentary allure, but it's nice for the first one to come from a pillar of the franchise.
  • I missed it I was playing Wii with the kid, his last day of school. I love no-no's.

    Congrats Santana.

  • I'm sorry, but that shouldn't count as a no hitter. The Ump clearly blew the Beltran call. MLB needs to wise up and further implement instant replay reviews because poor umpiring is ruining the game. In addition to the Beltran call, there have been some other terrible calls this year (Dodgers runner called out when the first baseman's foot was 3 feet from the bag, catcher clearly catches strike 3 but Ump says it hits the ground, etc). Selig needs to grow a pair and implement replay ASAP, it's a joke that MLB doesn't use it more.

Sickens me as a Tigers fan. Galarraga gets screwed out of a perfect game by an obvious blown call...and Santana completes a no-hitter after a clear base hit.

Human error is part of the game. No point complaining about it.

Tigers fan with a Brett avatar? Looks like at least 2 bandwagon rides.

Couldn't agree more, both games are black marks on baseball history. But there is a new Jayson Stark article on ESPN.com saying that expanded replay should be in place next season. Too late to affect these travesties, but hopefully it will stop them from happening in the future.

Try explaining that to the 85 Cardinals.

It is, and it's reality for now in Baseball. Hopefully that will change. The book says No-Hitter, most know there was a bad call, but either way he pitched an absolutely incredible game and had a ton of defensive help.
