Mike ... always love to hear about the "Adventures of Maven and Mike"!!!! Enjoy these times my friend. One week from today we will be driving our oldest daughter to Baltimore, where she will begin her college career at Loyola University. (BTW ... I told you a while ago about one of her best friends who was accepted to Notre Dame ... he decided to go there and last week he left for school. My daughter spoke with him the other day and he was in AWE!)

Mike I envy the times you spend with your children as mine are all now grown up and I miss doing things like this. That hot dog......if you can call it that.....I have no idea how you guys finished that off. I am afraid to ask what that set you back? A regualr hot dog at the ball game is 4 bucks or so. I can only imagine that one had to be at least 20 bucks.
Thanks for posting pics. It is fun to follow the exploits of Mike and Maven.

Mike posted about this before (Mike ... you DO make the most posts about food! LOL). It cost $26.00. Here is an excerpt from an article about THE DOG:
So what exactly will fans traveling to Rangers Ballpark get for $26? Chef Cristobal Vazquez has created a Coney Island-style hot dog topped with shredded cheese, chili and sauteed onions all of which sit on ”exotic bread flown in from France.”
The hot dog itself is pretty hefty as it weighs in at two pounds.

I enjoy reading about & seeing the pictures of yours & Maven's exploits.......I thought I'd hijack the thread for just a second to show a picture of Cal Ripken Jr. and my daughter from last weekend....I'm one of the PA guys and official scorer's for the Cal Ripken World Series and on Saturday night, my daughter came up to the Press Box to help with the scoreboard:

Had a day off from work Tuesday so went out to the tunnel. Was able to finally get Napoli when he arrived at the Ballpark. Got Josh Frasier (the bullpen catcher) inside the park. Maven had school and couldn't go, but I got for her on her hat, Ryan Dempster and Mike Napoli, Also added a couple sigs to my extra team ball I've been working on.
The Rangers threw me a nice curveball though this past week, bringing up a guy, Luis Hernandez, for two games only that I didn't have tickets to, and now they've designated him for assignment. I'm sure I'll eventually get him (as long as he or I don't die beforehand), and the chase to me is the fun part of collecting.
Maven and I both got Louis Martinez and Dave Anderson on our autograph items, but that wasn't the fun part. Last night, we were hanging out by the field before the game, and I was sitting there emailing on my phone while Maven was just hanging out. Next thing I know, I hear Maven chatting with someone, and I look up and see her holding Scott Feldman's glove, and he was right there with her. I heard her tell him, "I can't sign your glove because I only have a black marker (he had a black glove), do you have anything else?" He said "sure, how about this piece of paper" and next thing I know, she is signing an autograph FOR Scott Feldman. He told her he was going to hang it in his locker. VERY COOL of him, she was so ecstatic. I got a picture of them, and you can see him holding her autograph in his hand in my pic. Scott does benefits down here for the Wounded Warrior program, and seems like a neat young man. He pitches tonight, so hopefully Maven's graph will bring him good luck
After the game, we were right behind the dugout as it ended, and Brandon Snyder pointed at us, and threw us the final out ball. I caught it and gave it to Maven and she literally started jumping up and down. A neat way to end the night. The Rangers are so fan friendly (as a team, not all the guys). I'm happy for them that in their long history, they finally surpassed the 3 million fan attendance level this season. The management, the team, and us fans all deserve the fun atmosphere that their games are down here.
Here's the gameball,
I'm down to needing 5 on my glove and Maven is down to needing 9 on her hat.
Maven and I added Wilmer Font to both of our items the last couple of days. Getting ever closer. I signed Maven up for Nelson Cruz's youth baseball camp this upcoming Saturday. She is SO excited as he is her favorite player. However, we may get screwed by MLB as they changed the Rangers game from Saturday night to Saturday afternoon. Camp organizers still say Nellie will be there but I know the other Rangers appearances in town that day have been cancelled. What bad luck that was Hopefully it works out in the end.
Maven's favorite player has been Nelson Cruz for a few years now. I took her to his youth baseball camp today and she had a blast. There is massive rainfall down here today, so the camp was moved into a gym rather than the ball field, but it was still fun.
Here's Maven ready to play in her eye black:
Here's Nellie:
And finally on my glove:
Maven also got to take a picture with Nellie and got some more autographs of Nellie and Mike Adams. The camp hasn't emailed us our picture yet. She's impatient to see it, LOL.
Now down to needing only 4 on my glove, Ian Kinsler, Elvis Andrus, Giovanny Soto and Jurickson Profar.
Rangers game against Halos is currently delayed for a few hours more than likely.
<< <i>That glove is too awesome, a true 1/1. I know a guy that has a connection to Soto in Chicago & he might be able to help you if you need him. >>
Thanks Louie, if I am unable to get him myself, I just might take you up on your connection. Soto signs but I'm always in the wrong place, LOL. I missed him by 5 minutes Tuesday, as I got caught in a traffic jam and arrived at 4:40 (park opens at 4:30 for 7:05 games, and my friends got him about 4:35 and said he signed for everyone that wanted one.
No problem. You should be able to get him if he signs a lot then. He's a cool guy too. Tell him that he's missed in Chicago when you talk to him. Hopefully this is the year the Rangers finally win it. I'm gonna say the Rangers in 7 over the Reds. WS MVP...Beltre Not too bold but that's my prediction.

<< <i>Rangers suck!! No offense because I am a Ranger fan but they are horrible.
Shane >>
They'll be alright. They just have to take care of business Friday night and then their meltdown will have mattered not. I'm looking on the bright side. I'm either going to be happy that they advance, or I'll be happy that I've got a pretty big refund coming on playoff tickets that I can buy signed rookies with. A win/win for me. . I've loved them when they've sucked WAY more then they do now and irregardless of what happens, I'll love them after Friday. There are a LOT of MLB teams right now that wished they sucked as bad as the Rangers LOL. The Rangers have spoiled some of their fair weather fans the last couple of years, we will see who is still a fan if they blow it

Rangers brought up a guy named Wilmer Font this weekend so I'm back to needing 6 again. Gotta love September and expanded rosters
