My wife surprised me on our ninth anniversary last month and told me I was gonna be a daddy. image

Super excited (and terrified) as this is our first. Gonna try as hard as I can to steer him/her towards daddy's hobby. Gonna put the new redbook in their crib when we get them home so they can grow up slobberin' on it. imageimageimage

It's funny how your perception changes the moment you find out something like this. Coins just don't seem so important anymore. I still like coins and love the hobby, but it refreshes your perspective on the truly important things in life.

First image is of the heartbeat (at only 4 weeks! wow). Second is a length of the (then) grain of rice-sized baby.

And to keep this coin related......a series I'm gonna bookmark in the ANA Grading book for them to grow up looking at. image

First and foremost we want a healthy child whether it's a boy or girl, but my wife wants a little boy and that's kinda what I would prefer also, but am scared to death that he might turn out like me....... image And I'm also scared to death that I might choke some other person's son if I did have a little girl.....

    Congrats Wes! As a newlywed I know that I will hear that from my wife at some point (hopefully!) and I plan to put that same red book in the crib as well (though most likely a different year).
