Maybe it's card #8 and it should be graded a "5"! LOL

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
Card looks tilted in the PSA holder. With that amount of money on the line, I'd be asking for a better scan. A zoomed horizontal scan would be nice as well.

my friend purchased a PSA 8, 1971 Topps Munson at the last Chicago Sun Times show, it had a weird reverse flip and the case looked odd. He took it over to PSA as part of the deal to make sure it was real and they said fake case and bad card.
Dealer took back the card, but there are bad 71 Munsons running around out there.
Currently completing the following registry sets: Cardinal HOF's, 1961 Pittsburgh Pirates Team, 1972 Pittsburgh Pirates Team, 1980 Pittsburgh Pirates Team, Bill Mazeroski Master & Basic Sets, Roberto Clemente Master & Basic Sets, Willie Stargell Master & Basic Sets and Terry Bradshaw Basic Set
Looks to me like somebody cracked the case in the lower right corner...could have removed the original 8, leaving the flip intact and sliding in a lesser card...and, keeping the original 8 to send in for grading.
I am also dubious of descriptions that tell how wonderful the card is "pack fresh", "just out of the pack", "great luster", etc, etc. Notice also a Private sale...don't get that.
<< <i>Very slight fraying keeps this from being a 9. Great investment >>
Yeah, that card is oh so close to a 9. In my opinion, PSA is tough on 71 Munsons, no way they grade that an 8 or even a 7. Something seems amiss with that case.
From what I can tell, 707 is the DOLLAR STORE compared to deans_cards. For what that guy charges, if I ever bought anything from him I would expect it to be delivered to me in a frickin' limo. ~WalterSobchak
So I send an message to the seller about the crack and lack of a picture with the bottom border of the holder and this is his reply:
Hi,
Looks like a slight surface crack on the lower right of the casing. My apologies, I did not see on the original listing as this has been sitting in a secure box for 2 years. Will probably pull the listing and send back out to PSA. Thanks for pointing this out.

I haven't checked, but I hope he cancels the auction.

Calling that an "8" is a crime.

Wouldn't bid on the card, something smells here.
