Do you think it's fair?

Do you think it's fair to point out coins for sale if it helps find some nice coins, or do you see it as promoting someone's sales and possibly driving up the price if someone else here is already bidding on the coin?

I don't see a problem with it if the person pointing it out has absolutely no self-interest in doing so. However, I think it's unfair to point out coins for sale as improperly graded or artificially toned etc. IMO that's the same thing as bashing a coin someone has for sale on the BST. Now, if done in private it's fair game, but if you air it out on public forums, that shouldn't be allowed.

Mike, A lesson we have all learned and it goes with the territory. Buy the coin and submit it(or don't) and resell it. Come back and tell us how you did on this cent with the perfectly framed toning around Lincolns head.
Then you will see whether it was a good idea to recommend this particular auction. Some sellers have perfected the cast & are v. good at reeling in their catch.
I'm sure some buyer will be enthralled.
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
