Peace, High Relief Attribution

1921 Peace dollars: Some PCGS slabs state "High Relief", while other PCGS slabs do not.

My understanding is that all 1921 Peace dollars are high relief.

Do all newly slabbed ones come with the designation listed? When did PCGS decide to add this information to the label?

Thanks,

Edward

not sure if this helps you out or not but that is really not relevant for values/attribution and so on

only thing i can think of it would be useful for is which generation of pcgs slab the coin is in

    Now, find me a high-relief 1922 and I'll pay 100x face value, sight-unseen!

I think this was caused by the PCGS original database having High Relief in one of the fields (the variety field, in fact), so it would display on the coin. When I first got into coins, I thought there must have been two varieties, but quickly learned they all came this way. My guess it changed about 5 years ago, but purely a guess. They now just say "Peace".
