I have this Rotary Club Commemorative coin and the following information from the Rotary Club International website. The coin I have is sterling but I can not find any information about rarity, collectible interest, etc. Anyone familiar with this?
"In 1968 the Wallingford Club in Vermont, celebrated a three-fold anniversary, honoring the 100th anniversary of the birth of Paul Harris, the 150th year of the construction of the Memorial Building by his great-grandfather James Rustin, and the Club's 40th Anniversary. To observe these events, the Club issued a commemorative coin, a dollar-size coin with a bust of Paul Harris on the face and a drawing of the Memorial Building on the reverse. The bust of Paul P. Harris was done by sculptor Phil Kraezkowski, and each coin bears his signature. The Memorial Building was reproduced from a pen and ink sketch by Rotarian Gordon White of Morrisville, Pennsylvania and of Wallingford, Vermont. The coins were struck by the Robbins Company of Attleboro, Massachusetts. The medals were serial numbered and were issued in silver and bronze. One bronze and one silver coin were given to the Paul Harris Gallery."

<< <i>Nice details. I like the perspective on the brick school house. It seems you already have good information about the medal. There might be a good market for it in Wallingford but I'll bet not too much interest on a national level. >>

many paul harris pins, medals etc......his likeness is on everything u can imagine.

I can see interest even on a worldwide level. Paul Harris founded Rotary International which now has 1.2 million members spread out over 34,000 clubs around the world. There are Paul Harris Fellows and a Paul Harris Society as well. He spent his formative years in Wallingford with his grandparents.
Here's an image of the first 4 Rotarians: Gustavus Loehr, Silvester Schiele, Hiram Shorey, and Paul P. Harris:
For more information on his life, the Rotary Global History Fellowship (RGHF) project has his timeline online.
