every time i get some they sell quickly and for nice premiums, never to be heard from again

The few that I had were impossible to sell for more than the face/instrinsic value of the coin. I just tossed them back in the sdb.

The lack of sample slabs out there may be just part of a normal low tide of supply of sample slabs. It remains to be seen whether this is a temporary and seasonal situation or part of something more permanent.

That is why I said
"Could all this be temporary? I suppose so"
But you are correct it could just be a lull, and and samples could be back in large numbers once again.
I suppose for now it is a Waite and see kind of thing .
