Standing Liberty One Ounce Coin

I was very tempted to hijack Jaypems thread on the double eagle question because the comments by holeinone and westy steve got me reved up on my obsession with the standing liberty quarter. So allow me to rave a bit.
I think that the SLQ is the most beautiful coin I have ever seen.I felt this way even before I began to collect coins. When I decided to collect coins,I picked up a nice ms 63 example.
My purpose of this thread is to solicit ideas of how to make a one ounce SLQ a reality.I had high hopes when they began a study of producing a palladium coin but the hopes where dashed when they said the winged dime would be the image used.It seems unfair that with that coin if produced, would mean that every other circulating coin image of that time,ie:standing liberty half, buffalo nickel, and the winged dime were all depicted on a large one ounce coin but the SLQ was left out.
Now I have written to the mint which was the wrong venue to address the issue, and to my state senators who thanked me for my interest but we are no closer to seeing a one ounce SLQ coin.Does anyone else feel that this series deserves at least a one time coin similsr to the 2001 buffalos? or am I just blowing hot air?
