I see in the pop there is one MS66 out there. Does anyone know where I can see a photo of it?

Thanks! Its an NGC and not a good pic. Looks like they are selling it for 50K less than it sold for in 2007.

<< <i>If you were trying to advertise a 95K coin, don't you think you would take better pics than those scans? >>
it would make too much sense for people to do something like that.

The PCGS has certified an 1822 as MS-66 and a different 1822 as Proof-66. A third 1822 has been graded MS-66 ATS. I mention all three in today’s article on 1822 dimes. Please read.

This was the ONLY coin I looked at in the Dallas ANA Heritage Auction, and I spent a few minutes examining it closely. I
felt the coin would be better suited in an MS-65 holder, but such is NGC pushing Bust Silver coinage up half-a-grade, and
often to the next grade level, especially in regards to coins which have been altered (in this case I refer to 'dipped' pieces).
I also found the toning to be acceptable although not overly exquisite. I don't think I saw any original luster, and therefore
in my notes I called the coin "a bit of a clown" - with a mask of unoriginal surfaces (from the dip) and secondary colors
(aka 'secondary toning')
