Mercury Dime question

jesbrokenjesbroken Posts: 10,018 ✭✭✭✭✭
Check this '3' out in the date 1939 for this Mercury Dime. Doesn't look like mechanical doubling to me, what
are your opinions? Getting ready to send a couple more to Coneca and I may send this one with it. The doubling
does not continue to the end of the 3's base, but stops short. Also I imagine I can see a shadow of a nine to the
east, but I may be reaching.
Thanks for your help.
Jim

Die Abrasion...no need to send it to CONECA or anywhere else. Neat though.... image

Look at the outside of your last "9"...

The bottom of the 3 certainly looks notched.

Doesn't matter. It is NOT a fancy DDO. Just Die Abrasion. Still cool though.

It's an overdate ... 1939 over 1980 ... look really close ... squint ... and use your imaginary. imageimage
