Lelands Auction - very cool Honus Wagner

Has anyone seen this: Honus Wagner card
The card predates the t206 card by over ten years. Pretty amazing. I'm curious to see how much it will fetch.
Anyone familiar with this card?

Lewis eventually got divorced, dispersed of his collection, but the Reccius Wagner was quite the talk of the hobby a few years ago. Interesting piece for sure.
There's a number of threads on this card across the street if one wanted to search.
Fun times.
And Addicted2eBay - I totally agree. I'd threw an early bid out, but was immediately outbid. With a PSA 1 going for 50K - This card's going to finish far out of my price range. Should be interesting to watch, though.

<< <i>The card was 'discovered' just recently in Port Townsend WA, a quaint small town where my sister lives. It was owned for some time by a family, but they had no idea it had any significance. As the card says Hans not Honus, she didn't put 2 and 2 together. She finally found out its significance and value, but couldn't find the card! Her family searched all over the house before finding it. >>
That's a great story. I sure wish my family had some random Wagner cards hidden around the house.

This "tradecard" has always had its problems and mysteries, and many advanced collectors have always shied away from it and its dating controversy
it (the other example) sold for $21K in 2001, $52K in 2006
Wagners true rookie is the 1903 E107
<< <i>The date is a guess, Ive always believe it was from 1910 Era. there was only 1 known for a long time, now there are 2, this one is the better condition example.

Great info and I appreciate the insight. I honestly know nothing more than what I've learned through you guys on the item. Once again - I'm always learning from the board members here.

<< <i>Cool card. They don't mention why it graded 'authentic' instead of VG 3. Anyone know why? >>
I was wondering that, as well. It has a nasty crease across the center of the card, but other than that - it appears to be pretty common wear. Possibly trimmed somewhere?
