Paid 63 money for it($60), heck, what do I have to lose!! Picked her up raw last week from a local dealer. Nothing special but she's very purdy in hand. I think NT all the way. Anyone think otherwise???? The blues are actually darker in person. I'll post PCGS results in 60 days when she gets graded. In the meantime:
PCGS graded it 63

but congrats on finding a sweet coin you like and best of luck with grading too
please update ok
The reverse sploches bug me a bit. The strike looks decent for New Orleans mint and you didn't pay silly money for it...
Good luck at PCGS.

Given both, and that almost all the Morgans with this type of toning are from their position in bags many years ago, I think it unlikely that any position a coin could be within a mint bag, could produce solid toning on both sides.
Now, sitting in an envelope for years.......that's an entirely different matter. It could tone up fully on both sides......but is this NT? That's a matter of debate.

<< <i>Great debate! I've had several two sided toners like this over the years and all graded. The dealer I bought it from has no idea what at/nt is and couldn't care less about the color and would have no reason to doctor a $50 coin! It's not killer money color and with Shane's (Kryponitecomics) endorsement I'm confident it will grade But I will revive the thread in July when I get her back! Thanks for all the theories and opinions now it's up to our host for the final say >>
Why not doctor a $50 coin? Less chance of loss and greater return. Key date toners are so much harder to sell raw since they'll come under greater scrutiny.
Looks NMA IMHO
