    Very cool!!! The smaller one is a small planchet Pine Tree shilling; the larger one looks like a Pine Tree or maybe an Oak Tree. Somebody with more knowledge than me will be able to tell (Oak Tree vs. Pine Tree) from the die markers.

    I guess that makes sense, but only when you take into account ancient coinage. I don't think this is true in regards to US/Colonial coinage though
