Found 2 cool pieces of local sports history

My neighbor had listed these 2 pictures on Ebay and I had to snag them up. They are pictures of the 1915 and 1916 Galax Virginia High School football team. This town is maybe ten miles from where I live and is the town I work in. I plan on having them framed and hanging them up in my man cave room. Let me know what you guys think. Also if anyone can get the pics to show in this thread please post them up.

1915

Those are pretty nice for their age, and I can't imagine that high school football started much before then. You might try offering them to a local history museum to make copies of for their records or display. They would likely appreciate it if they didn't have them already.
Collecting PSA graded Steve Young, Marcus Allen, Bret Saberhagen and 1980s Topps Cards.
Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.

It would be neat - if the high school is still in existence - to get copies made and framed. I am sure they would hang them in the school.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

Yea, its kind of neat since this city was incorporated in 1906 so the school was fairly new as well. I will try to contact someone at the school to see is they have a copy of these. I cant imagine that many of the originals are still out there. The one from 1916 has the names of the players wrote on the back in pencil but I am unsure what order the names are in. Funny thing about these is that the guy I bought them from works on a garbage truck and he found them while working. I cant understand why someone would throw something like this away.

Dboneesq, Thanks for putting the pictures up in this thread.
