that is easy to use? Photobucket doesn't work for me anymore. I can't get the drop down menu at all so I need an alternative.

No idea if any other services do the same, but the drag and drop is pretty sweet.
  • I have used Photobucket (currently) and Dropbox (in the past). With Dropbox, you can drop the images in a folder on your computer and then will automatically upload and you can manipulate them directly from your desktop. Photobucket requires you to upload the photos.

Thanks, I'll try tinypic.com when I'm not so tired and have more time to play around with it.

You're doing something wrong, or your browser is flummoxed. Clear your cache, remove temp files, exit and reload. I've been using photobucket for a few years. And while it occasionally has some issues it works 99% of the time.

    Hi there,

Just be careful and be sure it is what you want. With Photobucket and many sites like that - you are just giving your images and all rights attached away. In sum, anyone can use them for anything and you have no recourse. There was the recent thread about this.

    Best,
    Eric

Is it possible to upload more than one image at a time with tinypic.com, which by the way, is a Photobucket company.

    Test posting from imgur.com

    image

Edited to add: Whoops ... doesn't seem to work well on my Mac.

    Another try ...

Edited to add again: Looks like the mouse-driven "Copy link location..." doesn't add the needed file extension. One must do a couple of additional clicks to copy the location from the site or add the file extension afterwards. Bummer as the "drag and drop" is a nice feature, but the additional steps (as compared with Photobucket) outweigh the "drag and drop."

The above statement is incorrect. Images uploaded to photobucket do not become public domain unless the user manually opts from within their account to make the images viewable to the public directly from their image album(s).

You retain all your rights to any Content you submit, post or display on or while using Photobucket. This means that YOU own ALL the Content you post, but keep the following in mind:

If you don't want to share your Content with the world, you can mark it "private." If you do so, Photobucket removes the Content from search results on the Site and other Users (except those you invited) won't find it as a result of using the search feature of the Site. Also, we won't distribute it outside the Site.

Be aware, however, just because something is marked "private", we can't guarantee that only the people you invite will see it. Even if you mark something "private", users may be able to find the direct URL for an image through other search mechanisms, then share or link to it outside the Site.

Remember: if you share it from the Site, it's no longer private, even if you marked it "private."
f you remove your Content from the Site or mark as "private" something that previously had been public, Photobucket won't use it outside of the Site anymore and will hide it from search results on the Site, but we might still have it stored in backup files or on servers, and we are not responsible for sites on which it was shared before it was marked "private." Also, we will retain it if needed for any legal reason.

If you make your Content public, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license (with the right to sublicense) to copy, distribute, publicly perform (e.g., stream it), publicly display (e.g., post it elsewhere), reproduce and create derivative works from it (meaning things based on it), anywhere, whether in print or any kind of electronic version that exists now or later developed, for any purpose, including a commercial purpose.

You are also giving other Users the right to copy, distribute, publicly perform, publicly display, reproduce and create derivative works from it via the Site or third party websites or applications (for example, via services allowing Users to order prints of Content or t-shirts and similar items containing Content, and via social media websites).

If you stop using the Photobucket Services your Content will remain on the Site, unless you actively remove your Content, and the rights you granted to us and other Users remain.

    Be my guest.
