Reputed to be a 1942-S mule with the small mint mark to the right of Monticello.

I've seen that coin, so unless it's a fake it does exist. The mintmark is to the right of Monticello, and is the Large S matching the 1941-S Large S (but not anywhere close to the size of the "S" on the 1942-S nickel.

Also known are some 1946's on wartime planchets. IIRC, one sold several years ago for over $20K.

I have heard of 1943-P nickels on pre-war planchets. Don't know if they exist.

I believe nickel nickel errors exist for both 1943 and 1944. I think P-mint, but it wouldn't surprise me if there were others.
