Rec room copper mining/ lincoln error ?

Its been a good month for the errors , i'm not entirely sure of this one but it looks like the words were stamped after the damage , is this an almost wannabe clip ? Particularly the E looks to be stamped over the damage, any thoughts appreciated as always.

It did to me as well initially , but i couldnt get past the E being there considering the depth of the arc cut into the coin.Once id noticed the E i can see the other letters are there vaguely but there over the gash , it is a puzzler for sure , thanks Teddy : )

Interesting how the arc goes right up to, but not through the rim/edge of the coin. That makes it seem less likely to be PMD, at least in my opinion.

I also agree, PMD. If that indentation were there before the strike, you would see more metal flow where the letters met the sides, similar to how they look next to a clipped edge. I believe the rim looks solid at the ends of the indent because the coin circulated for a while after the damage, so any metal which was displaced beyond the diameter of the coin was eventually pushed back into the gap.

Why Sorry ? : ) No need to be , it may be PMD , it's still just a cent found,no loss. The coin in hand is very different from the photo , the depth of the gash might have you wondering as i was.It doesnt show well.Thanks.
