German DM exchange

I have several hundred 1&2 german dm coins from the 60s and newer, are these still useable? can I exchange these for euros or dollars and how do I go about this?

exception is 50DM 1948 green and 2 DM 1951, as both have been demonetized long ago.
However, exchange can only be done by the German Federal Bank or one of their branches.
