1960's High Numbers...Overvalued or Undervalued?

Won another high number card tonight at well below SMR value. It was a 1959 #529 for $116 (SMR is $170). Not a low pop card but still a high number and there are not a lot of 1959 high numbers that show up on eBay. Thinking back, I have won many high number 1964s, 1966s and 1967s during the past year in the $40-$50 range when the SMR is $75-$85. I am assuming the market is changing as more high number cards get graded but one would think that the supply might still be less than the demand just in terms of the the number of available cards for grading. After all, high number cards in these sets are supposed to be produced in lesser amounts than earlier series. Curious as to what others have to say about the high number cards from some of the 1960s sets and their experiences in obtaining them in high graded condition.

I never find it a problem in finding 59 Hi#s however some of the 60s with exception of 64,68 and 69s IMO 63s are tough however the 6th series is much tougher than Series 7.

BIN's are going to continue to push everything up in vintage. Sellers are willing to wait to get close to their price. Not as many cheeseball cheapskate auctions. You want the card, you are going to have to pay for it. chaz
