Trivia Question: 1989 Upper Deck related - No Prize Offered

We are moving at the end of June and I am packing up the collection. I took 15 minutes to look through the 1989 Upper Deck set in the album. 1984 Donruss is my sentimental favorite from the 80s, but this is one of the most handsome sets of photos I have ever seen.

As I am looking through I was surprised to find two players are still active on MLB rosters. I thought initially three, but Cris Carpenter is not the same guy. Without looking, can you name them?

If too easy, name the 5 Cy Young award winners who are also convicted felons.

Fine, the prize is the 4-6 1971 Topps coins and the 1973 Topps Gerry Moses cards I received as extras in trades with board members.

Dang, so I've been racking my brain for the third and there wasn't one.

Edited to add: So he not only retired(since 2009) but they'll already be retiring his jersey number. I must have been thinking about Pettite.

Bob Costas got fooled by him too when he opened a pack of 1989 Topps.

Congrats Walter. It breaks my heart to see you changed your signature line quote. While I can appreciate the sentiment and immediacy (and relevance) of the new quote, I do not think it can top Patrick, the burning condo, and the nut kicking.

If you want to PM me your address, I will send your prize. Otherwise I can scan your prize of 1971 Topps Coins (one of which is Mack Jones) and Gerry Moses here for all to enjoy. Your call.

Those are they. Looking forward to see if Clemens joins them. If I had to place my money on CY winners still playing who could go felon, I am betting Greinke. No real reason.
  • I'll take the coins. I don't need or want the '73 Moses cards; so do with them as you will. Address PM coming shortly.

    All drug related felonies?

McLain was tax evasion. The others were cocaine. You'd think there'd be at least one arsonist.
