USVI 1oz Ingots. Any collector value?

Local G&S buyer had some in the case. Looked unusual to me, smaller but thicker than a normal 1oz.

No real collectible value, but they're a trusted brand and pretty neat for their stackable design.
A lot of people like them as unique.

What Meltdown said, no collector value.
Though, they demand an higher premium compare to other brands (even top tier ones).

    I do personally like them!

  • At this time it seems like there is a minimal collector premium attached to most (but not all) art bars/rounds.
If silver goes back to $3.50 again you might see premiums for more bars again. But what are the odds of that happening? Back in the 1979-80 days I remember even key date coins were turning up in the generic silver bins when silver was around $50.
So many questions. So few answers.

Yep. There is a collector premium on silver art bars selling on ebay. That premium could range from $5 over spot to as much as $3000.00 depending on the silver art bar and the rarity of it.

Some may be more collectible than others. The bars made for Anaheim (was that the co.?) seem to be common. The rounds made when it was a two man operation working out of their kitchen, maybe have more rarity?

Yep. It will depend on the silver art bar. For example, The World Wide Mint Coca-Cola silver art bars could sell anywhere from $10 over spot (ex: Nashville Coca-Cola) to as much as $3000 (Clarksville, TN Coca-Cola). Certain enameled bars that were minted by Duane Spellman's The Mint could cost anywhere from $50 to $150 on ebay. On the other hand, you have the common-minted '70's Madison Mint bars that usually fetch between $5 to $10 over spot on ebay. It all depends on the silver art bar and the rarity of that particular silver art bar.
