My PSA sub just popped, how many wait until they arrive?

I've done about 5 subs to PSA. Each time, I do not check the final grades on-line and wait until they arrive to see how I did. Anyone else do this??
Currently collecting PSA graded:

1991 & 1992 Fleer Pro Visions
1952 Topps

I wish I could wait. It would be like unwrapping a gift, but I just can't wait. After weeks of hitting refresh, seeing that they popped and then not peeking would kill me.

I was waitng for a 2 card sub.I wish it would have never popped.I was completely shocked and turned off by the results.ENOUGH SAID!I am off by a grade here and there but not 3 or 4 grades.Without trying to be critical grading does not appear to be very consistent in the past year or so.

Lol, you guys crack me up. I'm tempted to peek just once, but I've really enjoyed the "rip" each time. Been pretty fortunate so far by not getting too many lumps of coal image I always let my kids open with me, too. My boy knows that if it he sees the numbers "9" or "10"......its freak out time!!!!

Also, just FYI, I did a Set Registry special sub and got a turnaround time of 13 business days.

In my experience it's best to look at your grades, and the card descriptions before they ship.
Twice I've caught mechanical errors that I was able to call and have corrected before the items shipped.

Agree with this 100%. I always look first to verify that they don't make a mistake on any of the cards.

One example was when I sent in a few 1954 Topps Gray Backs (Canadian). They didn't catch the gray backs and holdered the card as regular 1954 Topps. The gray backs increase the value (sometimes significantly). Once I looked at the grades, I called right away and had them fix it. If I would have waited to get the cards first, I would have had to wait another week+ for shipping and them to fix.

If you don't want to see the grades, cover up that column and at least check the description of each card.

Good points but the very few times I've had mechanical errors, I just send them back with my next sub to correct and reholder which PSA does free of charge. For me, personally, the pleasure of pulling each card out of the box one by one to reveal the grade outweighs more quickly fixing the rare mechanical error.

I usually check to catch mechanical errors before they ship. However, I think with my other 500 card sub I'll wait to see what I get when the cards arrive. The results of the last one were pretty disappointing so maybe changing my method of checking the grades will change my luck. image

Check every day, I could not even make it home when I was a kid before ripping open every pack of cards I bought.

I am in the "dying stage" right now I received shipping confirmation yesterday and just checked tracking: scheduled delivery tomorrow.

I am trying to hold out.

This is how I do it too. It's complete torture for me to wait for the cards to arrive, but I love pulling them out one by one and revealing the grade!
