He holds up a zip-lock with 8-10 coins in it, at the same time I recognized him as a jewelry customer from a couple years ago, anyway I empty the baggie and there were 6-7 morgans and a couple darkside coins........and a $3 gold from the 1850's....... a long story short, I said to him this gold coin should not be in a bag with these other coins and so on, his reply was the other ones are all in little envelopes............this one was loose.
So after looking things over I made him an offer, he said he would think it over but wanted me to see the others and would come back Monday.......
I put the $3 in a flip for him and advised him on how to or better yet ,do not handle the others.
I will report back then........
The $3 in the bag looked high AU.......

Thats my biggest problem, if I can get people to at least come by an get an offer from us first before they go the motel buyers(which have been here for the last two weeks again) I have em lock stock and barrel. The motel buyers wont even be close especially if any significant value.
I did make a fair offer......
check that $3 closely. lots of counterfeits! i'm not saying he knows it, but even so. be sure.
And I did check the book as to the known counterfeits.
He is an old time customer who we did a lot of Jewelry for as well as service on his Rolex watches.......
Sometimes I think that animals are smarter than humans, animals would never allow the dumbest one to lead the pack
