Went fishing for silver on the way home. You use small silver to catch some big silver.
Used the 1oz silver for a sinker and a mercury dime to catch something bigger, then ended up with a 10oz'er on the hook to take home.

I knew it would happen.

Pawn (bait) shops (not in a $metro$ areas but suburbia). I make a deal with my favorite pawn shop for a good price closer to spot if he can, and I'll come by every week, and never bargin or complain.
Been starting to check out gold buyers, but strangly they don't seem used to selling much. They must get coins or bars sometimes. But I'm just checking every fishing hole I pass and see if any are good spots.
Fishing on craigslist, G/F liberty walking halfs for $11, 50 mercury dimes a small tad over spot, both for the collection, and sometimes with a little numeristic value added. $5 a peice for a small amount of P/G quarters just because it was under. On craigs you have to search a bit, and cast here and there. Need to search steady, like fishing.
Spot is not a solid line, but a guide line. Learning if the line gets stuck, cut it and walk away.
So I went fishing in the local lake just now at lunch time. Some shinny fish were jumping and I hooked into one and pulled it in.
It was heavy. While it was still wiggling, I put it in my pocket, walked back to the car, put my pole away, and started to leave.
The ranger at the gate said, that shinny fish you caught there (1976 Kungerand) will cost you $1580!
I said ok, and I'll be coming back to fish here again... He said, we'll have more fish for you...
