When in doubt, don't.

Because it started with the seller sending me an unsolicited e-mail alerting me to what he said definitely looks like a VAM.

I will not add this seller to the list of dealers I would buy sight unseen from
Nothing BU about it, not even AU. VF details, maybe XF on a good day.

2. Too much crap in the listing.
Wouldn't it be easier to sell honest coins and cut the
bull though?
XF details....
move on.... IMO unless you just like to scrap

Who cares, otherwise, VAM or not. Damaged coin via polishing. Not a collectible piece.

PS: seller cannot put prices in description on a raw coin.

polished

Me too.
sounds very valuable
Run Forrest...run!
Seriously- this is a train wreck that symbolizes what is wrong with coin collecting from a computer and surfing on the net. This 1884-s is complete has been stripped-it really is a coin that is unable to be graded because the surfaces are so impaired to even write -Cleaned VF Details is complementary.
As for all the demands Ebay has made of ANACS and ICG, and then to allow something like this to last as long as it has is just plain comical in a rather sickening demeanor that words are just not able to adequately express.
I think that sums it up.
