BST: do you look at stuff for sale with hundreds of posts?

Maybe it's just me. But when I browse BST I'm turned off by sellers who have several hundred posts to wade through, stuff originating a year or more ago, pages and pages of TTP, in order to find what's new and interesting.
Am I alone?
Please, let the old threads expire and start fresh ones. Copy-and-paste if you must. But show us what's available today without weeding through a ton of miscellany.

So, agreed.

Or just keep the updated list in the first post, removing sold items.
But then, don't most sellers actually do this already?
I can see both sides, using the old thread, or starting new. For potential buyers with a good memory, it makes little difference. I tend to do the same with fresh threads, if it is a seller that tends to list stuff that I might be interested in, I check it out. If it is seller whose listings I have looked out and found nothing, I skip. An old thread shows that a person is established as a BST seller.
In any case, one public complaint is unlikely to change a seller's habits. As long as the listings follow the forum guidelines, I don't have much of a problem. I would tend to lean towards using the old seller threads, because it is easier for me to spot those as long time sellers vs. newbie sellers.
Unless I'm just shopping.
Though, the first post and title is always the updated.
I have seen the same happening in other members' listing.

I'm really confused. Most sellers put everything in the first post and keep it updated. Why would anyone wade through pages of ttt's?

Not hardly.
There are BST threads I haven't opened in years.

The first thing to check is the edit date.
if it has been a while since it has been updated, then that is to be avoided.
If the list is updated, just inquire as you would if it were only a few days old and aks if XXX is still available or if there is a line for it already, etc. (business as usual)
Now I think wow...been there forever, must be same old stuff no one wants and I dont bother.
Mercury
Based on this thread I will likely just create a fresh thread and copy anything relevant I need from my old stuff...no biggie.
In fact I might go post something in a few minutes. A great toned 1945-Micro S in MS66....and maybe one or two other items. Stay tuned.

I don't check those with 100+ posts.
But, I think I would be equally annoyed if people started a new BST post every day with the same items over and over.

There are a few threads I looked at a couple times and found them too confusing .
I never open BST threads from those posters anymore.
See ? NO SPAM, NO OFFERS, NO _ _ _ _ !
If it has a '3' or higher in the Replies column, I generally skip it.....but again, I'm on multiple times per day, so I likely saw it when it was first posted. But for those with hundreds of Replies, even if it states it was edited recently, I'm probably not looking at it.
I'd guess the ones with over 100 replies are invisible to almost everyone.
