Grade opinions on this draped bust half *GRADE RESULTS IN!*

Picked this one up today and was hoping for some opinions of it's grade. I believe it is O-118a which has a severely cracked reverse and the cause of what appears to be an unusual wear pattern. Thanks for looking!

Well you guys confirmed my suspicions image I picked this up today at a small local show graded as a "fine"... It looked nice and original to me and I thought it was a VF but don't have much experience with DBH's. Gonna have to send this one off I suppose!

Nice looking original VF30. Great looking coin.

I agree with VF35. The large pics are magnifying every little imperfection. I'll bet it looks really great in hand.

I like it quite a lot. image

I'm in the vf 20 group (of 1) although, I confess, it compares well to JRocco's. I do think PCGS has gotten quite strict recently. And I don't think PCGS knows or cares much about striking characteristics of varieties, except for some obvious exceptions. Anyway, I hope it 35's. Let us know.

I do not see a problem with the coin. I am in the VF 20 camp.

I too call this vf20. I see no reason for it to be vf30 or better.
Still, it is a very lovely piece :-)

In looking at the pcgs photograde before I looked at the other guesses I was going to to say 15. Above the chin line level there is really no details in the hair. The pcgs 25 example still shows a bust line which is not evident here. I guess I still have alot to learn.

Thanks for all the comments and opinions. I feel it is a VF coin as well, as for what end of the spectrum, we will have to see what PCGS says! I'll update this post when I get it sent in and receive a grade.

She is purty thats for sure. My initial impression was 25 but that she might only fetch a 20. If she lands higher, that strongly suggests the graders will have factored the variety.

Very nice! I would think she would grade about VF-20.
