Will PCGS be slabbing any of these with a "Last Strike" designation?

Seems as logical to me as "First Strike". image

    How about 'Late Release' designation?

There are estimated to be 700 billion Canadian cents in the U.S. It doesn't surprise me the last one showed up here.

On average that would be 2000 for every man, woman and child.

I live 30 miles from the Blue Water Bridge and 30 miles from the Windsor Tuunnel.
In five years of keeping all my change and keeping Canadian pennys in a seperate jar, I've amassed a total of 129. Yes, I counted them.

So, who has my other 1871?

DuPapa... it wasn't a scientific estimate, rather a swag. The key point was that the "last" one made it here, eh ? image

Living in the Detroit area I have accumulated exactly 687 Canadian cents since 1994. All were obtained in the normal course of making purchases. Of the 687 cents, only two were George V types.

Through 1996 they are 98% copper, 1.75% tin, 0.25% zinc... gonna have to sort them by date now.

    291fifth,
You're doing 13 better than me with an average of 38/year... you must be closer to the border or use credit cards less.

edited to add: of my 129 only 7 are zinc (1997 and above),
    5 Geo. VI a '41, '42, '43, '45 and '46...... and 3 Rock Doves

..is it legal to melt Canadian cents?
