1884CC, attribution help please!

Hello all. I am in the belief that I have VAM4B, but I am not sure. It is very difficult to tell if the pinned wing gouge. Either way, here are some photos. Also, this is the VAM I'm finding this info and referring to.

Each item is labeled with an arrow.
1. Lip lines
2. Extra unpressed part of the planchet. Not specified in VAM description, but present on the photo.
3. Die crack/gouge/imperfection coming from hat
4. Die crack/gouge/imperfection coming from hat
5. Die imperfection leaves a dot of metal less pressed as the rest of the field. Also not specified in VAM description, but present in the photo.
6. Die crack at "E" in AMERICA
7. Pinned wing gouge.

Here's an image of the entire coin.

If I am correct, and this is VAM4B, it says it is R6, so that is a pretty good find, right?

Lastly, this was a hasty post as I'm in the middle of packing my place up to move, that is why everything isn't as pretty as it should be.

Thanks for your input!!

Steve

Given the photos you have provided it does look like a Vam 4B. If you are asking if rariety equals price premium then we could get into a gray area. There are many Vams that are listed as R5, R6, or R7 that don't command a premium. Generally if a Vam is not in listed the Top 100 or Hot 50, then it's only interest is to those who activly seek out Vams. Your best bet would be to search for as many previous sales of a Vam 4b in the condition your coin is in to determin price. Hope this helps.

Yes, it's a pinned wing. Nice dollar that's for sure! Although you would think R6 is
really good, it's just okay on these dollars. Pretty common and quite available if
you do a bit of searching. But, it sure does have the right Mint Mark!

Wow thanks everyone. I'm not going to be looking to sell, it's still in e GSA holder with the COA and I have two of them. This specific one I paid spot for when spot was in the 34s. When I started collecting I didn't much like Morgan's because I thought they were to bland, but now I can't stop image

Thanks for the info guys, good to know what it is and that I am not a retard, I correctly attributed it. I'm stoked

PS, that was my 100th post!
