Wanted to post a quick topic and see how many other people are as crazy as I am?
Are there any other people that are trying to put together (2) sets from the same year, in top condition?
Presently, I am working on (2) 1955 AA FB Sets. The 1st I am trying ot do with as many PSA-9's as possible, and the 2nd I am trying to do in PSA-8 condition.
Now granted, it is only a 100 card set, but don't let that fool you, there are still some monster cards to try and get a hold of. Furthermore, consider that is it the 1st year Topps made FB Cards.
Anyone else out there?
Rob

And Yes, you are crazy.................but you are not alone!
Your worse then me. At least my set, is much smaller, and does not have black border's.
WOW.
Good luck in your endeavor.

For once I'm truly at a loss for words. I'm flattered! (how much is this going to cost me?)

I too have an all 7 set and an 8/9 set in 1961 Topps BB. And I might consider 3 sets, a 7, an 8, and a 9! Nines are a little expensive and hard to come by, so that one will take years.

I've heard that this is where the "money guys" hang out.
I've had almost 300 extra graded 72's at one time, but I've never been tempted to start another set. The bread that I can get by selling off the extras can buy me a lot more raw commons to send in - or work on other sets.
Sets - 1970, 1971 and 1972
