2012 Leaf Wrestling

Has anyone seen these cards and is anyone gonna pre-order any? I think they are a little on the ugly side.

Love the look of them. Based off 1948 Leaf design. 5 autos in each box. I hope Leaf releases more of the signers names. I see Blowout has them at $79.99 a box.

Here is sell sheet. Couldn't figure out how to post image of it here in thread.

That is what I want to see. I was hoping some stars from the 70's and 80's would be included and maybe even older. I agree these are'nt the best looking cards either. I may pick up a box or two though or grab any of them off Ebay when people try to flip them.

Nice checklist, but the artwork is horrible IMO.

Yeah, art work on some look good, others not so much. I'm just glad Leaf is doing a set with a lot of 80's guys getting autos in it.

I heard they had to do their own artwork for the cards. Getting the rights to use images on cards is a can of worms and very costly.

HBK got pulled due to his contract with the WWE. So they are putting in redemptions to own the original art work done to make the cards.

Autos will be collectible, the base cards will not....at least for the value of the what the boxes cost
IT IS ALWAYS CHEAPER TO NOT SELL ON EBAY

I dunno, the Corneilius Nash looks pretty sweet. On take your daughter to work day, she's not supposed to actually do your job, Leaf dude.

I think it is great to have this set out to bring further attention to the All Star sets since this set features many of the older wrestlers who may have not made it into the late 1990s to present wrestling sets...... I am going to pass on these but happy to see this product out.

Too bad...I don't care for the artwork. The design and concept is cool, but the artistic quality is kinda fugly.

    Sweet Superstar auto dpeck.

I wonder if Brian Gray of Leaf could get the rights to make reprint autos for the 1982-83 Wrestling All Stars cards for his future Wrestling products. Any idea who would even own rights to those cards if someone wanted to make reprints of them.

    Yes Brian from Wrestleprints.com

He bought out Norman Keitzer and owns all of the photos and the rights to the magazines he published.

Bunch of guys on that list that definitely should be and probably will be soon. Giving cats a run for their money, to be sure.

You know it's time to fire your artist when his portrait of the Hulkster is a dead ringer for Wooderson from Dazed and Confused.
