What would this raw Jim Brown rookie card grade?? GRADE IN!

Since everyone liked the Jordan rookie card game, I was hoping to get some opinions on this sweet Jim Brown rookie card.....First guess that hits on the head wins 50 CS1's from me!

    Looks like a 6 to me. What's a CS1?

    PSA 6 if real...that being said I think questionable authenticity or altered given the whiteness of the borders etc., maybe it's just the picture but it just looks too clean for the issue.

    5.5-6 I agree, it is a nice card!

    But my actual guess for the CS1's which I need very badly is a 6.5!

    6.5.
    "My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."

    << <i>PSA 10 >>

    Wishful thinking Hook'em.......I have the card in hand, and I was thinking 5-6. It is such a tough issue to grade for me. I have seen ugly cards with bad centering get good grades, so I am not certain what the graders are looking at exactly in determining the grade for this card.

    Will do Raiders....but I actually bought it for my Jim Brown basic set. The JB basic set is only around 8-9 cards, and it is something I can tackle with relative ease. I have tried to build complete sets before (1955 Bowman baseball comes to mind), but the sheer number of cards coupled with the fact that I have A.D.D. made it impossible to complete - so I have to stick with sets of small numbers!

    We shall see.......it is valued a little too high to send under one of these specials going on, and I don't want to pay the $35 to get it graded by itself under express......I will have to figure out how I can get it graded without spending too much...

    << <i>What's a CS1? >>

    A CS1 is a also called a CARD SAVER. It is what raw card submitters need to put their cards into to submit to PSA. They should be a staple in 99% of the board members supply.

    Did the scan drop the period, or did PSA grade it a 55? image
  • Options
    bobbyw8469bobbyw8469 Posts: 7,139 ✭✭✭
    The scanner, when you use the "Dust Removal" setting thinks that the period in the grade is a piece of dust. Only happens with PSA labels, and not SGC labels......;
