Ever had someone contact you (as a collector) from a Google search??

Out of the blue someone sent me a "PM" in ebay about a slab I'm looking for. Says he found my "PCGS Collectibles" BST listing from a Google search.

While I was delighted, it did feel strange. image

Once sold a coin off the BST that someone found on a Google search and made their first post to the board to claim....then vanished for awhile, and has since started contributing on the board, though someone minimally.

Yep, a few times. Seems like the CU posts show up pretty high in the search results sometimes and having my email address in my profiles has led to a few communications in this manner.

I once called a guy after a Google search - he was really annoyed that I was able to find him as he was fanatical about privacy - and he was already a friend! image

A couple of years ago, if you Googled Dansco 7070, my set was #1 on the list. Think it was RYK who pointed that out to me.

Yes. A telephone caller who claimed they found one of my BST offers. Never did find out how they got my phone number, since it happened well before my website was linked in my sigline. Got a bona fide sale out of it though. image

PCGS forum listing do not show up as often in a goggle image search as NGC's. I only joined ATS for the Hard Times Token thread... Yet had I known that every single image I post there shows up in Google and Bing searches I might not have posted.
