The coin odometer is coming

According to the newest NN the Mint will have a sales odometer on the order page for the new 2 coin SF silver Eagle set! You will be able to track the daily sales for the month the set is on sale. I think it's a great idea. Will this help or hurt sales? I think it will discourage flipping as the casual/newbie flipper may shy away from buying after seeing several hundred thousand have been sold? Your thoughts......

Sales may hurt in one sense however they will sell more than an established 300,000 mintage. The flipper world will hurt as there will be too much supply for the immediate demand.

    Meh, system bloat.

I'd rather they invest their time in building a storefront that scales horizontally so when they sell these things so the system actually works.

Will anybody really be looking and caring if they sell that many who cares.
Just as well run them though the favorites sellers program.

I'm betting that it will inhibit sales to flippers.

IMO, The only flip will come from dealers, at a small premium. No demand by the dealers from the private sector for inventory (ref. 2010 ATB, 2011 ASE anny set) to submit for grading = no flip for privateer flippers like me.
