If you had a 3 or 7 day return option prior to this week and re-listed EBay automatically changed it to 14 Day.
New return options are now none or 14, 30, 60 days.

<< <i>While checking you might also want to change handling time to one business day it gets you a discount on fees.

if the guidelines are followed. there is more required than just stating 1 day handling

Yes print your labels and mail it within the stated time. And additional 5% off of the FVF is worth doing it the way customers like it.

Actually you just need to print them within the stated time, they don't track when you really mail them!!
I didn't print labels via eBay previously, I'd just do them by hand and mail at the post office, then I'd upload the tracking information after I shipped them. So even though I shipped within the stated time, my rating sucks because I didn't have tracking uploaded within the time... lame!!! So now I pretty much have to print the labels through eBay to avoid that issue.

<< <i>It seems like most people can mail things in one day if your an active seller on ebay >>
Sure, I can take two kids to school, pick them up, take the to dance, soccer, golf--practice and games and performances, work 8 hours and still get to the post office most days. But not every day. Expecting a seller to drop everything and mail a package whenever a buyer decides to pay is unreasonable. I had a buyer pay friday afternoon after he purchased on monday. Now I've got to get it out friday night. But hey, I didn't have anything else to do. --Jerry

I have a bunch of listings, created before May 2nd, which have a 3 day return. Are you saying I don't need to manually edit the return policy to 14 days, that eBay will automatically do that when I relist?
If the buyer takes his on sweet time to pay, the seller still has to jump thru hoops.
there should be some moderation, say if the buyer pays within 3 days then ship in 1 day, after that add a day.
What if you planned a vacation and all your listings ended on Sunday and you left the following Friday. A buyer could really hold you up.

Yes!!, Even taking one day off can really cost you five days of sales. eBay begins to become like a ball-and-chain, and you can never take a day off.
You must check you auctions every hour or risk losing being a prefered seller.
I only have about 15 sales a week now in the summer, in the winter months it can be upwards of 40 sales a week and I had no trouble keeping up. Actually printing lables at home I think has made me much more organized and has made me redo my inventory methods.
