I have been busy adding gold - US commemoratives are my favorites on account of their low premiums.
These old poured bars arrived this week.

One beauty of a hunk of Au

They were mostly made for the jewelry and electronics industry and the manufacturers/fabricators melted them down to produce their products such as rings, necklaces, bracelets, circuit boards, etc.

That's what I thought.
I have seen Engelhard bars at the FED in NY too. Was surprised at first but, since they are among the biggest refineries, it made sense.
Thanks also for the info, it makes sense that a lot of these would be melted down as it's generally not a "stacking" size... Unless you're uber rich (which I certainly am not, haha).
Thanks for the Dragons Randall!!!
